Here’s hoping you have started spreading the word about LearningExpress Library (LEL) in your school and district. If you recall, LEL is a test prep and computer skills database, and then some. For example, there are practice tests to help elementary, middle, and high school students hone reading, writing, and math skills (not writing at elementary level). Studying for the SAT or PSAT? There’s assistance for that, too. Need help learning Microsoft Excel for Windows or Macintosh? Try an LE course. There are also lots of eBooks that users can access; Grammar Essentials, SAT Writing Essentials, Just in Time Vocabulary, Statistics Success in 20 Minutes a Day, and Express Review Guides: Algebra II are just a sampling.
For information about access, setting up accounts, and more, reference this archived OSLIST announcement: http://www.oslis.org/oslissupport/announcements/2010-announcements/november-8-2010.
LearningExpress offers free,
1 hour webinars on LEL twice a month on Wednesdays. The next one in December is on the 15th at noon. If
you register, don’t
accidentally sign up for the session about Career & Job Accelerator. http://www.learningexpressllc.com/support/webinars/home.cfm
