Problem w/ Gale’s January Stats
I heard from a Gale rep that there was a glitch in tracking usage in January, and statistics may be higher than they should be. Gale is supposed to send an updated report to those who already receive usage statistics. However, you might want to contact Gale on your own if you don’t get an updated report but suspect your January stats are high. www.galesupport.com/oregon
Gale Webinars
Don’t forget that Gale offers free webinars every month on a variety of topics. For example, there’s one about using the Gale Virtual Reference Library database. The March 8th session is geared toward academic and special libraries, while the one on March 17th is geared toward public and k12 librarians. Here’s one way to get to the webinar calendar:
Go to www.galesupport.com/oregon.
Click on either of the two links called Training Opportunities.
Click on the link called Complete Webinar Schedule, found under the 2nd bullet.
Tips:
- Use the arrow next to the current month to see what is being offered next month.
- Times automatically display for the Central Time Zone. Use the drop down menu at the top of the page to change to Pacific.
- Click on the event title to see more information, including the registration link at the very bottom of the page.
- The webinars are free, but participants must register in advance. See the above tip.
