Gale has a new feature, InterLink, available in its InfoTrac databases. For details, see the email below from my colleague, Arlene Weible.
For examples of how InterLink works, view this K12 PDF.
Many Gale databases are on the InfoTrac platform, including InfoTrac Student, InfoTrac Junior, Academic OneFile, GeneralOneFile, InfoTrac Newsstand, and Informe.

Gale/Cengage has introduced a new technology, Interlink, for connecting periodical articles within its InfoTrac databases to contextually-related content within Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL) eBook holdings.
Through document-level hyperlinking, InterLink results are automatically highlighted within the articles in your search.
- Search in any Gale InfoTrac database or PowerSearch and display results
- Interlink technology searches the library’s GVRL collection for the most relevant, useful and needed results
- Click the links within the article to expand and continue your search amongst key, selected eBook content results related to your original search
If anyone would like to learn more about this new functionality in the Gale databases, several short webinars are scheduled. Information about registration is below:
InterLink builds a web of connections across Gale resources, helping researchers find the content they need--when they need it--without having to know the specific resource to search. InterLink provides a phenomenal cross-search experience by leveraging Gale’s unique subject indexing and results-ranking algorithms. The outcome? More relevant discovery.
We invite you to attend an upcoming 30-minute webinar that will explain more about this rich, new functionality and how it can enhance your library's value to your community.
