Hi. Earlier this month, I announced that Gale is consolidating several databases into a new product for students in grades 6-8. The new middle school database now has a name: Research In Context. The interface will be very similar to that of the other In Context products – like Opposing Viewpoints, Students Resources In Context, and U.S. History In Context – with a few intentional but minor differences. Read more about it on the Gale blog, the Research In Context product page, or FAQ.
Research In Context should be available in the Gale common menu (get to that by clicking on PowerSearch) by the beginning of June. The databases that were consolidated will be removed from Oregon accounts as of July 1st.
Watch the Gale webinar calendar and tutorials page for opportunities to learn more about Research In Context, starting sometime in June.
FYI, Research In Context will be targeted to students in grades 6-8 while Student Resources In Context is geared towards students in grades 9-12.
Questions? Please ask.
Thanks,
Jen
