Hi. If you always think, “I’ll explore the Gale databases next year,” then welcome to next year! ;-)
For those who may not know, the Gale suite of databases is available through the Find Information pages on OSLIS (elementary, secondary). They are periodicals databases, which means they contain articles and images from magazines, journals, newspapers, and reference eBooks plus some multimedia content like podcasts and news video clips. All of this can support daily instruction, research projects, and more.
Each school district and private school in Oregon has a unique Gale username. Please ask me if you need yours.
To learn more about Gale's K-12 databases, see their Training Center page for opportunities to participate in webinars, to watch short tutorials, or to watch recorded webinars. LearningExpress Library offers two webinars a month.
And, come to the OASL Fall Conference and participate in one of two sessions hosted by a national Gale trainer!
Thanks,
Jen
