This is not about OSLIS directly, but it is a local professional development opportunity aimed directly at school library staff. The Oregon Association of School Libraries (OASL) hosts an annual fall conference. This year’s event will be in Bend on October 14th and 15th. Additionally, some of the OASL region representatives host 1-day conferences in the spring. Currently two spring conferences are in the works.
The Regions 1 & 4 spring conference will be at Wilsonville High School from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm on Saturday, April 16th. To learn more, go here or to register, go here.
The Regions 2 & 3 spring conference will be at Ridgeview Elementary School in Springfield from 8:30 to 2:30 pm on Saturday, April 30th. To learn more or to register, go here.
Anyone from any region is welcome to attend any of the spring conferences. You do not have to be a member of OASL to attend, but members usually receive a discount. Early bird prices are $35 or less.
Please spread the word to school library staff and others.
Thanks,
Jen
