On November 15th, a Gale trainer presented a webinar specifically for school library staff in Oregon: “Looking for Authoritative and Credible Resources? Harness the Power of Your OSLIS Statewide Gale Resources.” With such a huge interest in fake news, the session focused on how to determine which sources feed into each database, how to find content from specific publications, how to set up journal or search alerts to receive specific content via email or RSS feed, and how to take advantage of the bookmark feature. At the end, the trainer demoed the new Chrome extension for Opposing Viewpoints.
The recording of that session is now available. The trainer also shared a link to the Gale title lists, which are lists of the sources that feed into specific databases. Check the KBART and Additional lists. These Gale tip sheets explain some of the topics or processes covered in the webinar.
Thanks,
Jen
